The Zionist project with its ethnic cleansing of Palestine in 1948, its seizure and occupation of the West Bank from Jordan, Gaza from Egypt, and the Golan Heights from Syria in 1967, its continuous expulsion of Palestinians and confiscation of their land, the Palestinian resistance mounted from refugee camps in Jordan and Lebanon, Israel’s invasions and assaults upon Lebanon in response, support of the resistance by other Arab states and Iran, the relentless demonization of Arabs and Muslims to maintain Israel’s pretense as the victim by the complicit U.S. media under pro-Israeli influence, and the refusal of the world community to protect the Palestinians by enforcement of international law, has led to monumental consequences for the entire Middle East region.
In the unlikely event that bin Laden and his little band of angry Muslims did in fact perpetrate 9/11 without aid by the U.S. government, or at least thought they did, his stated motive reported on page 147 of the 9/11 Commission report was anger at U.S. support of Israel. This then was used as the duplicitous excuse to invade Afghanistan and Iraq.
These international crimes resulting in over a million Muslim deaths could not have been tolerated by the American public had not Arabs and Muslims been cast for decades as dehumanized "terrorists" rather than an embattled and largely helpless people mounting rightful resistance to the illegal invasion, confiscation and occupation of their lands.
